Commoning Consciousness

A living practice for a thriving common life

Opening on the winter solstice, December 21, 2026, at 9 a.m. Eastern

The mind we tend is partly held in common.

Where you spend your attention and effort shapes your own life. It also shapes a shared inner world of images, stories, and patterns of meaning that other people draw on too. Commoning Consciousness is a project about tending that shared world rather than wearing it down.

The project draws on Carl Jung, the science of cooperation, and Elinor Ostrom's work on how communities care for what they share. The site opens with short explainers on the idea and with GAIA, a ten-minute daily practice that comes with a free, private journal. A weekly podcast and a small community of practice are on the way.
